Part of the joy of following your own Creative Career Path is the fact that you can meander onto different creative paths along the way. Who says you should only work at ONE job?
I am learning, as I talk to others, that creative and imaginative people think in terms of doing many different things that bring them joy. Thus they often create many ways to make money – they have multiple income streams. The idea has great appeal to me at this stage of my life. I want to continue to learn and grow in so many ways!
Through the start of Creative Career Paths, I began talking to a woman who has been an acquaintance of mine for over 20 years. She and I discovered recently that we think alike in a lot of ways, and both have a passion to help people – especially women – find ways to make their lives better. Her name is Sandy Cookman and our friendship is growing. We have spent hours talking and planning over the past several weeks, and have decided to do a business together called Blooming Boomers.
We are excited to create new material to encourage women to live their lives in FULL BLOOM! We both have a passion to help people come out of mediocrity and take action to live abundantly and full of joy.
We are working out the details of a special relaxing evening just for women called “Less Stress, More Joy” which will be held at the beautiful Plummer House mansion in Rochester, MN. This is for any woman who is interested in learning more about how she can create a more fulfilling life, and also connect with other new friends. We will present two workshop sessions along with a delicious dessert.
The event will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Plummer House and the cost is $35. You can purchase tickets online (Click on
Upcoming Events on the Creative Career Paths website) or at the door the night of the event. Please call to reserve your spot at 507-289-3310 or email me.
This evening will be the first in a series of workshops. Sandy and I plan to offer additional gatherings to provide information and encouragement to women in subsequent months. In addition to live workshops, we plan to provide printed materials, conference calls and group coaching for women who are looking for support in improving their lives.
We are indeed the Blooming Boomers – encouraging our own lives to full bloom! Sandy is represented in the flower pot by the short, pink flower and I am the tall one. Please join us on August 19 for this fun evening! We would love to share our enthusiasm with you.
